Failure in the flesh is one of the necessary ingredients for spiritual growth, it produces a humble heart of dependency on the Lord for direction and strength rather than a heart that is self-confident in the arm of the flesh. Then when we are weak in the flesh, we can receive the strength from the Lord, “My power is perfected in weakness.” The ways of the flesh is to try with all its might, to strive, to fight; the ways of the Lord is a rest and touching people around us by the flow of His Holy Spirit (John 7:37)
