Philippians 2:8 “He (Jesus) humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Humility is not being weak, or a doormat, or soft-spoken, but is the first step to obedience. Humble yourselves from your plans, your will, your desires, your ideas about yourself. We live in an effeminate age that thinks that humility is being tolerant even that which is against the truth. Jesus had to humble Himself from His will to the will of His Father. Think of times when older people give you advice that is against your will, usually we blow them off, and think they are out of touch with the times. That just shows our pride manifested in our hearts. Humility is a place of receiving the grace of God (James 4:6).
